I have been married for over 5 years and we now have a three year-old which means little time for ourselves. I am always looking for practical ways to stay connected to my husband so when I came across Gail Purath's blog with a list of things to do, I was ecstatic! She provided over 15 suggestions but here are my top 3:
Make sure you talk everyday
I must admit that we sometimes go an entire day without having a real conversation. Starting this week, I will spend more time talking to my husband.
Make his favorite foods often
My husband is a picky eater so making his favorite foods means spending extra time I do not always have. Instead of making his favorite foods during the week, I will try to incorporate them into our weekend meals.
Be quiet when he makes a mistake, especially if you “told him so"
This last tip is really hard for me because I love saying, "I told you so." Why? Because my husband likes making his own mistakes which sometimes costs us time and money. Instead of saying "I told you so." I will listen and not pass judgment.
